>>13394620>How long until AI takes over the world?There is no such thing as 'AI'. What we have are 'expert systems', a term dating back to the 70's. We have vast stores of data that can be parsed rather quickly by a stupid 'if' 'and' 'else' etc algorithm. The only difference now is the system can work a shitload faster. 'AI" was a marketing term coined in the mid 2000's to sell useless internet connected washing machines and kids toys. True AI is still well beyond the horizon.
