Within like a couple weeks those people turned my friend against me and gaslit him into thinking I was talking shit about his mother. He jumped me after school while I was carrying a back breaking amount of shit home from school because I hadn't gotten a locker yet. I was immediately winded and he pummeled my chest for about 20 seconds then got up and ran off. I didn't even fight back. I was in shock at who was attacking me. No one, not even a teacher stopped to help me. It took me being winded for 5 minutes and finding it very difficult to breathe and heading back into the school for the Sister to give notice. She gave me a ride home. It took an entire year for that friend of mine to admit he'd done wrong. I hung out with him some over the years. I haven't cared to keep in touch since school ended over 11 years ago. Only talking if we happen to bump into one another. Truth is, I never truly forgave him for that betrayal. Him jumping me like that irreparably fucked our friendship.
