Just so I can pass some info along for anyone looking for a job:
First Student will hire almost anyone, so long as they don't have any felonies on record. They will also get you your CDL B license with no cost to you, provided you stay with the company for 6 months.
Sign-on bonus was like $5000, paid out monthly. Staring pay was $20, though the union is getting it raised to $36.
My work schedule was 6:00 am - 8:30am, go home for a few hours, then return to work for my PM route which was 2:50 pm - 3:30 pm.
I want to mention that you do not have to drive children while working there. You can work there as a commercial driver as well to transport passengers for weddings, sports games, and other shit like that. There are drivers that ONLY do these things, so know that avoiding kids is entirely possible if you don't like dealing with them. A lot of these commercial runs will usually get you tips as well. One of the drivers I know who did a wedding run was tipped something like $500 for that single night of work, on top of her hourly pay of like $28/hr.
