It is a really weak force, hence you can't easily measure it on a smaller object. Since Earth is big and rocky, with liquid metal and silicate core, the gravity is easily observable. Because gravity is a wave which irradiates in all directions from a center point of mass, a sphere (or for larger objects like planets, an oblate spheroid) is the only logical configuration of huge amount of matter in 3-dimensional space. Gravity attracts everything to its center point of mass, hence water doesn't spill out of the globe earth like your retard flatfriends like to assume it would. Please note that 2 large bodies (oceans and earth) will also attract each other much, much more than you and earth. That's where the weight comes into the story. More weight = more the Earth's gravity is pulling you towards its center. Why? BECAUSE YOU HAVE MORE FUCKING MASS.
