It's like saying the people who play video games are school shooters in the making because school shooters played call of duty at some point. But my theory is that in anime/manga you have these depictions of female ideals of cuteness/femininity and a focus on things being clean and good looking while new western cartoons are just plain ugly. Trannies need to have an avatar that matches with their delusions so naturally they are gonna pick the ones that look the cutest.
