>>8648889>Anyone else feel like the hype for this Popeyes chicken sandwich is blown way out of proportion? Its one of the new marketing strategies advertising firms are using these days.
Popeyes corporate hires one of these firms to do viral marketing and says hype up our sandwich, I don't care how. The advertising firm schemes up the fact that they can frame eating a chicken sandwich as a political statement because Chick-fil-A doesn't love fags enough and Popeyes is publicly perceived as being a black business regardless of who actually owns it. They then shill this meme online to leftists on social media as well as bribing some of the "woke" journalists in old media to push the progressive sandwich angle. Eventually the idea spreads from the shills to woke idiots who are stupid enough to take the bait and they start spreading it too (Trevor's Axiom). Pair that with a traditional advertising campaign that simply tries to sell you the sandwich because its tasty and cheap and the advertising firm manages to meme a product launch into an event.
This is the brave new world of the woke corporate left. Corporate morality expressed by consumerism.
