>>12486076it's definitely very strange. honestly that's been one of the downsides of learning japanese, i can realize how retarded my animus sound sometimes. i don't have any issues with the voice acting sounding super dramatic or whatever, but seeing the subs say "this isn't looking good!" but hearing "これがやばいPINCHですよ!" is so jarring
i'm exaggerating a bit of course it's not like half the vocabulary has been overhauled or something, but 2-3 words out of 50ish each chapter have been replaced each chapter and as i understand it using the old words would sound noticeably outdated to a japanese person
many such cases from what i've heard. say a norwegian guy talking about the same phenomenon happening there, but i think that has to do with a high percentage of people speaking english in that country in the first place. in japan it's supposed to sound particularly sophisticated since everybody takes several years of english in high school but only ~15-20% end up conversational in it. not that 1 in 7 is bad, it's just a far cry from something like norway's 9 in 10.
>>12486080well presumably we'll do some speaking in both languages u kno? they could even set it up so that we speak to them in jap and they reply in eng and that'd be fine no?
>>12486098hate to see it but nothing to be done about it
yeah not a slight at her by any means, just sad to see no naeuns still
huh? i wasn't trying to reference anything
