We have above average IQs, though, and are naturally talented with numbers and memory and shit. This comes at the cost of being absolutely ass when it comes to reading other's body language and facial expressions and tone of voice. I don't come across as a social retard, but I don't subconsciously pick up all the nonverbal signals a person makes when we're talking. If someone says something in a sarcastic tone, it'll go right over my head unless I pick it up through the context of the words themselves. It took a lot of practice and effort for me to not come across as "there's something wrong with this dude" in a conversation.
