After losing territories to Soviet Union 1940. Finland joined Nazi-Germany in the Operation Barbarossa and after regaining the old territories: still continued past the old borders.
Some of the more fucked up "Fennomaniacs" as we called them here were actually believing that the dream of Greater Finland was coming true. Too bad Hitler fucked up.
As a Finn I find these concepts quite hilarious. There are still people here who in all seriousness think that Finland should conquer like half of Sweden, Norway and like 50% of Russia
