A belief is knowledge obtained second hand.
Knowing is exactly that.

If you know something it doesn't require belief.
Belief implies faith.
Not being able to admit damn near everything science gives you is a belief, that's where people have an issue with flat earth.
There is no way their beliefs could be wrong so they mock and ridicule and fight to support their beliefs while not even understanding or admitting it's a belief they have.
They don't know.
