I see shit like that all of the time among Swedish couples too. One of my friends have been with his gf for almost seven or eight years and both of them are working and have stable economies and the last time I spoke with them they assured me that they don't plan on having babies until WAAAAAAAAAAAY into the future and that's with they guy being almost 30 and his gf like 27 or 28.
Another couple I used to know a few years ago had been together for 10 years when they decided to break up with the dude being 32 and his gf 29. The reason? Well, turns out that the woman's biological clock was ticking I guess, and one day she asked him when they were going to have babies to which her bf replied with a surprised look on his face "What, you want to have children?". Turns out that during the 10 years they had been together they had never even once talked about how they wanted to live in the future, stuff like if they ever wanted to move to another city or even another country, whether they wanted to live in the city or on the countryside and most importantly if they ever wanted to have children. So after 10 years they found out that she wanted to have kids and that the dude didn't. How do you live together for 10 years and never even once discuss something as important as that?
I have seen more examples like the ones mentioned above but these ones are the two that spring to mind atm. I'm astounded. Why is it that people can't plan for the future and communicate with their spouses properly? Are people living in a constant party mode or something?
