Following Chernobyl, I remember being careful where I sourd some foreign foods from.
Having worked in a forest industry, peparing to enroll at Rutgers University to seek degrees in Plant Pathology & Entomology, I had taken a course to become a licenced Pesticide Applicator.
However, during this time, a Nion Carbide pant blew up in Bhopal, India -devastating the land, while killing countless people & livestock for miles around- de to the noxious gas clouds from their OTC pesticide, carbaryl, better known as Sevin.

When the time came to take the CORE Exam...I refused.
I withdrew my Rutgers plans.
The only reason I did not get fired was because I was quasi-part owner of the company, the 'boss' being the guy I was married to at the time.
Let's just say the blowback I got from my refusal to be part of the spraying of this chemical -now more deeply aware of the science behind than ever beore- led me into a decade of darkness I was finally able to break-free of.

We have sickened the world, its land and its people, for far too long. It's time to REFUSE, as I did decade ago.
All it takes is awareness of the true consequences of our past actions, and the wherewithal to insure that no onne else suffers in our name, because we won't allow it any longer.
In time, Mother Earth will heal, and, our food will once again naturally sustain our lives, rather than killing us slowly.
