Wouldn't it be interesting if dark matter was the "shadow" of matter? An emittance of it, metadata of matter? It would explain why there would be so much of it with matter producing it constantly. If that was the case and you could analyse and process the dark matter, you could in theory see in the past. You could see the Roman empire as it was or gain the schematics of a UFO.
