In all reality /pol/ has gotten this bad because of the end game of any political forum. Normalization. Since normies aren't chastised for browsing 4chan anymore we have lots of normies coming into /pol/ to either "get active" or try to change the ideological content. These people don't understand the boards culture and go out of their way to butthurt the board with bait threads.
We have the same threads every day that we've already been over that all the newfags jump on to fit in or get informed so they can fit in. For every bait thread we get 10 newfags who want to believe they know what they're talking about and lose 1 oldfag who actually knew what they were talking about. It's shameful to say the least.
The only good thing about /pol/ now is the news usually gets to them first.
