The books are allegorical and a fragment of what once was. Sift through the rubble and use your intelligent brain to figure out what is useful. Discard what you cannot reason logically. To each person they are owed their own interpretation of all things, but it is through cohesion among the majority that a common ground is formed and a grand picture born.
Sex with someone you consecrate with is holy. Fundamentally, it is why and how we are all here. Via reproduction. But Sex with just anyone, ie a Prostitute or Roasties can be negative because it is fruitless. It is animalistic and below the responsibility of a rational and intelligent Being. "But it feels good" is the ultimate rationality for both masturbation and mindless Sex. Inherently there is nothing wrong with feeling good. But it becomes like an addiction, in fact it is a chemical addiction to endorphin and serotonin rushes. It takes the spiritual meaning from copulation and turns it into pure recreation. This can lead to bad habits and a neglectfulness of one's higher self.
Life is suffering. Without suffering there could be no experience of the alternative. All things must be in balance.
