We get comfy and then it comes to a screeching halt.
Another comfort for me is reading about WW1. The never-ending trenches and all that went with it. The cruel evil of the idiot generals. All for what? We trudge on. Just didn't expect to be conscripted at this stage of life. At least the trenches aren't literal (yet).
