It was a "club house" of sorts. Not very accessible and the plethora of gore, trap porn, anime, already aging site format, and a lack of the ability to get recognition for you posts. Unless you were a tripfag, which most people thought were jerks, you weren't making content to be some Internet hero, just making it for the sake of making it. Once the thread died, it was dead except for worthy posts that got screancapped and saved for later by some anon that felt it was good.
I miss The Official Princess of /b/ now. That's depressing. he/she was a fucking annoying cunt, but at least when she shat up posts with her other tripfag friends and literally turned it into a captcha unlocked IM room, it was flavor to a degree? That's rose tinted goggles for you, though.
