>>24503>Why is only one view promoted on /pol/? There are many viewpoints promoted on /pol/ and also a lot of people roleplaying as Nazis and/or Trump supporters to make them look dumb. There are libertarians, anarchists, Nazis (unironic ones are a very small percentage of the board), classical liberals, etc. The only real uniting factor is that they are all pissed off about something.
The cancer are the neo-cons from Reddit that are protesting in public (AKA Chanology legionfaggotry 2.0)and Donald Trump dickriders that believe nothing he ever does should be questioned. I referred to 4chan as cyclical--let me explain: back when I first started lurking here, 4chan as a whole was apolitical but when Bush was brought up, he was basically universally despised. When Obama won the election, /b/ celebrated that "boss nigger" was elected as opposed to another neo-con. There were celebrations for days much like when Trump was elected on /pol/. 4chan as a whole started moving to the left because it was hip and cool to be progressive and lame to be a corny, war-mongering neo-con. Over time, 4chan started moving slowly to the right due to Obama burnout (mostly because he was still destabilizing nations in the Middle East and the rise of "SJW" Tumblr politics) until "/pol/" started to infect every board.
The truth of the matter is that 4chan--if one thing can be said about it--tends to be edgy and contrarian compared to the mainstream. It's hip to be an edgy rightwinger nowadays. There is also the troll value associated with it because so many people are easily trolled when something like pic related is posted. Mark my words: within a few years, everyone is going to get sick of Trump's shit and you'll see Anons reminiscing about the good old days under Obama until the next meme candidate comes along.
