>>9794848>the thing that gets me, again, is that this entire fucking thing is purely by choice and people blindly obeying sweeping governor rules and no federal intervention. it's like everyone collectively decided to let society just collapse all at once without a fussdo you think if Trump was more aggressive with his political opponents, and didn't seem to also kind of just lay back and let the democrats to whatever and never arrest anyone, that the right side of the political spectrum would be in battle mode and be more willing to fight this media-driven panic?
Just seemed like the right side of the political spectrum is asleep right now, no one on the right has been willing to make against-the-grain comments or take any drastic actions lately. So of course no one was going to challenge the "Corona is the black death" narrative.
I think there are many factors to why people are just leaning back and letting this all happen. People like to be at home with their families. People are tired of working all the fucking time and still having fuck all to show for it because no one is deporting the illegal cheap labor.
Trump could have gave the right something worth fighting for but he hasn't. He could have shown courage and leadership, but he didn't.
I hope he wins, I'm going to vote for him, but if he doesn't win, then he just played things too safe since his mandate was entirely predicated on being a "fighter"
