somehow it really just isn't at all and despite this it's sold completely separately so it needs to be treated as a VR specific title rather than something with incidental support like subnautica or elite dangerous. despite this i honestly think playing in VR is a straight up an inferior experience to playing on PC. bow aiming is terrible, not being able to move easily while casting magic sucks, and somehow melee combat is even worse than in the regular game. the visuals are nothing to write home about even when compared to free games like the lab or the aforementioned type of games with headset support just kind of tacked on as an extra.
at that point what are you even playing on VR for? just tossing around clutter? even that's arguably easier to do with traditional control schemes and inarguably more enjoyable even in steamVR which practically exists just to launch other apps from.
even if it were just a free feature of skyrim on PC i don't think i could recommend playing the game this way unless you're going for a 10th playthrough in desperate search for something novel and yet they have the audacity to charge full price for it. really insane stuff
