The lizard brain is like a parasite. It has a web of tentacles spread out throughout all of your grey matter, checking your every thought for compliance with the lizard agenda. It alters your perceptions and emotions. It interferes with your logic and changes your opinions. It blinds you to things that you don't "need" to see to stay on track. It is essentially your own fleshly little Pravda outlet - constantly reassuring you, constantly misleading you, and constantly putting you back on the 'right' course.
The lizard brain is like a hive mind. It's universal to all people across all time. It never changes, it never relents, and it's never absent. Look closely into the eyes of the next person you meet - when you see the lizard brain, you're not seeing theirs. You're seeing your own. You are the same as them. You have the same lizard brain. Height, money, facial symmetry, righteousness, science, charity and good works - fodder for the lizard brain. A never-ending clown car of performative behaviours in pursuit of the good regard of other lizard brains. There is no secret truth apart from this: nobody surpasses their limits. Nothing redeems us. Nothing separates man from animal.
