Just beat Doom 3. I think it's really overhated, though it doesn't get really fun until about halfway through when you get your full arsenal and the combat encounters acclimatize to this.
Still, the technical design [especially the sound design which is incredible] and the worldbuilding is well done.
Definitely play the original with the Redux mod instead of BFG.
