Some people are truly just NPCs. What this means isn't actually some weird Matrix-esque confabulation where some people just "truly don't exist", or are programs like in those films.
It means that they operate entirely upon the base animalism of pure social interaction. Like the ways animals in the wild interact -- like chimpanzees have social rituals, big cats have social rituals, and so on; so too is it like that for a majority of people, they are human animals. They interact entirely for the purpose of playing the social ritual game, and the social ritual game defines them. In this alone they are like animals.
It makes them NPCs because they have no independent structured internality of their own, they have no ability to operate and come to their own thoughts independently, they must ask first of the social herd they are a part of for consent, or consensus. Only then can they feel they are able to differ from the herd. If the herd does not allow it, they will never ever do it or think it. Taboos operate this way, tabooism is largely NPC behaviour -- take note that I said, largely.
These people are wholly dependent on external socialities to operate. You saw it with COVID-19 and the hysterias there, you saw it with the post Wall St. woke hysteria that insisted solved social problems were still extant, you can see it all over social media, and sadly you can see it in real life, where people will outright reject you, or mark you as "weird" just for straying outside the expected social game ritual even slightly.
Having a personal affectation, using certain words, saying certain ideas, dressing a certain way -- all of these mark you. Unless you have a large amount of personal charisma, or you can carry it without seeming bothered, they will ostracize you. Why is this? Because without charsima, or without seeming like you have confidence at least, makes them think you have wronged the group or have been been pre-marked by another group. So never be miserable, guys.
