>>16925311>with a < between the shiftThat must be a really fucked up keyboard you have if that's actually a problem. I can't even imagine how it would be. Do you not place your pinky on shift and have some weird layout instead?
Either way, you could just bind the keys to other stuff, use AutoHotkey.
>joystick is also way better for controlling directionsProbably placebo. You'd get a bit more freedom in maneuvering, but I've no idea how you would do more precise movements with a controller, in that regard I'm thinking of it to be like the difference between mouse and controller in FPS. Maybe it's different.
I looked it up and apparently some people really do play with it, so, fair enough, it at least works.
But I doubt any actual good players use it. It doesn't mean much to say you beat something using it, because it's really not hard to just resource farm and brute force a 1cc in these games, you could probably do it with your broken joystick if you just spent enough time trying. If there's anybody out there who does proper NNs (I think you call it that?) with a joystick, then that'd be impressive.
So I guess it's something you could get used to and clear some stuff with, but you'd be pretty much handicapping yourself once you start doing anything remotely hard because it just limits how good you can play, I bet that there's a skill barrier to it. You could practice a lot with it, but you'll still be way worse than a keyboard player who has spent the same amount of time, or even way less. Doesn't sound fun to me if you were to go for any proper L clears, especially since those need even more fine movement than usual.
Might be I'm just underestimating it, maybe you've done proper no-bomb clears with it, but I don't know, haven't seen a single high-level player who uses a joystick.
Better to just change keybinds to fix your issue and play on arrow keys instead.
