But whatever. I just want to point out how terrible the netcode for the game is. I've yet to see anything have it as bad.
If you have any ping above 99, then it's just practically unplayable. Everything I said before gets ten times worse. The only time you can consistently hit somebody is if you're both standing perfectly still. I've had moments where I perfectly tracked 3 mags worth on a single guy, point-fucking-blank range, and still missed every single shot. That happens more often than it doesn't. It feels like you have to predict where somebody is going to be 5 seconds from now on and shoot there.
It's as if you're playing on a thousand ping while at only 100. You get shot through walls relentlessly and god forbid you try to hit someone with your melee. The only time that I had to use a knife on somebody in the game, it took literally a full minute of swinging to get a single hit.
Maybe you could amount it up to the game being old, but I'm pretty sure there's way older games that still had better netcode. It could be that it gets harder to do with a large-scale and high player count game like Battlefield? But you would think that in that case, they'd put in even more effort to making sure the netcode is as good as possible.
Don't know. Just that it's bad.
I also sincerely wish that whoever decided that hardcoding forced mouse acceleration into the game to be a good idea to burn in the depths of hell.
Actually the worst fucking thing about the game. I would forgive everything else if it weren't for this. Your aim will always feels like garbage because of it. You just can't hit shots consistently when your mouse constantly changes its sensitivity and doesn't allow you to get used to anything.
If that weren't bad enough, your vertical and horizontal sensitivities get accelerated unevenly, so you could be zooming up above at a really high speed while still turning slowly to the side. And there's no way to turn it off. So bad.
I just needed to vent about it.
