I would disagree in part regarding the soul, however. I believe the soul exists in uncertainty, relying on matter to ground it and give it shape. For their parts, some are less or more than you'd expect, missing pieces or overburdened with too much, and the imperfect imperfected through our sculpting - our actions.
I would put to you to that you have no concrete grounds on which you might explain a truly soulless body. As the ideal vibrates through all matter, what should be criticized is its shape, its quality, and its quantity. These are things reflected to where I can observe them.
