Every day people lust, sloth around, say white lies, say unwholesome things, eat too much. Every single day we sin, whether you want to admit it or not, and we don't even notice. This is why no one was saved by rigorously following the law, not even in the Old Testament, this is why we need a Savior.
We are saved by trusting in Christ. Does saving faith produce good works? Absolutely. Do we need good works to earn salvation? Absolutely not. This is Biblical Chrisrianity, and Paul addresses this very topic in his epistle to the Galatians.
