I can tell this though, so you don't make this mistake: once the game allows you to eat tadpoles (mid to late act 1, depending how you play the game. you can loot them early on so not really a spoiler) from slain true souls, fuckin do it
you might think there will be consequences but there aren't any, you will just be making the game less fun for no reason
