Ive seen a pacl of wolves chase and lunge throatbite a deer less than 20 feet from my porch in montana.
The only one of them that showed me any interest was the flankers, and they were just making sure i wasnt getting excited or chimping out.

You should of seen the blood on the snow, it made me so hungry for venison i went by the butchers that day for lunch and tagged me a buck a week later, who was also delicious.
Its also possible the wolf is curious about OP, perhaps it thinks he might be an outcast since he is always alone, and was wondering if he would like to join their militia
