You might have a point on boards that are specifically dedicated to topics that aren't related to anime in the slightest, but even then there's leeway (/k/ for example has constant anime generals that are allowed where they don't even discuss weapons, just anime with plots or premises that put an emphasis on weapons, or /g/ with their classic techloligy)
