>>3933192>if the people that inhabit the board are good fun then it really isn't a problem. some sites thrive on just a handful of users/bant/ has the perfect size/activity for me, small enough that it has a core community of posters who recognize eachother to influence board culture, but large enough that it attracts new posters so you're encountering new opinions and things don't devolve into a circlejerk, or that there's enough posters that you can't recognize some people right away.
I've tried posting on other chans before and you either get replies ranging from 12 hours to even days later, or you just encounter a community that's too focused on enjoying a specific thing and don't want to discuss other things in that spectrum. I've been on a vidya board where all they wanted to talk about was grand strategies and didn't talk about anything else because the community was small and everybody liked strategy games, for example.
