All the effort could be put towards realistic upper body movement instead. And when walking efficiency/quality improves enough, she wouldn't need the chair anymore. She's more like a girl in physical therapy, (re)learning how to walk.
>>13417950The materials being used is one thing, but weight would probably vary significantly with how complex the body is. The more realistic the body is, the more complex it'd need to be, but also less durable it would end up being. A robot body that could pass perfectly for human would probably weigh as much as if the body were completely made of water, but a simpler body could be made lighter than normal. It really depends on how the limbs are powered.
