>>4805033 Every board instills a certain behavior in the people deep into the culture.
>pol breeds crazy sandwich board doomsayers>r9k is a suicide cult>etc. The longer you stay in a particular place the further down their ladder you fall. It affects your daily life. You start to slowly become the meme.
It's all very interesting.
Another point of interest is unironically that chans are "friendship simulators". You can actually take this very seriously. Most forum users are very socially awkward. They want to be more sociable but feel disconnected from the rest of society. That's why they have problems making friends, keeping jobs and living the normie life.
In forums most especially anonymous ones they can practice social communication in what is essentially a controlled environment (if you filter them they win) without worry of real life consequence. In the right hands online anonymity could be a very powerful psychological tool. You'd be able to work out all your problems through posting them and having real people react to it. Many people claim the problem of not enough preparation, training or know how for social engagements. I would say chans/forums would provide the perfect environment for people with these complaints. You are the same here as in real life only as "real" as you want to be and completely unknown besides a small group. The perfect place to practice daily life small talk and social settings.
Anons that study psychology, learn to identify constructive behaviors, apply them here and then in real life are using chans the right way. You're in a life simulation, in a friendship simulator and you probably don't realise it.
Anonymous boards are interesting as the lessons people learn here can be applied as much to real life as a flight simulator to a real plane.
Close but something is missing. Under the right circumstances posting might be a constructive behavior.
