> Atrocities committed so far.
1. Atrocities can be direct or collateral, acts of aggression by individual forces or widespread practices such as slavery and kidnapping. Let's begin with an analysis of Kaeru's most infamous policy; the public executions of captured Republic leadership and bureaucracy.
2. Anuran culture is profoundly hostile and fearful of outside political, ethnic, and cultural influences. They believe that all bantoid culture is indelibly poisoned and only by erasing it and the individuals responsible can their security and worldview be maintained.
3. Propaganda appears to be the driving force for their aggression; propaganda is essentially a form of deception and deceit and something we have become adept at ourselves. Exposure to excessive violent media and imagery of suffering non-anuran slaves have desensitized Anuran youth to the atrocity of murder and a growing proclivity toward excessive forms of cruelty.
4. During interrogation Anuran POWs reported being conditioned from the moment they joined the armed forces to kill off bantoid prisoners in particularly horrific ways (stabbing them, beating them until they die, crucifixion, pouring boiling water over the head, and ripping off appendages.) POW's also described being instructed to sexually assault captured bantoids. Once a rape has been carried out, Anuran commanders demand the victims be dismembered and their remains strewn on the roadside.
5. The primary target of Anuran propaganda is Cirno, Queen of /bant/, whose influence and charisma appeared to have won over the people of the republic to make their sacrifices endure for a prolonged period. Any and all efforts made by the Anuran leadership to undermine and delegitimize the Queen have had little to no effect and on the contrary only emboldened her influence.
