also if anyone in the bible is based on baal it's jc! he was the son of el, went down to the underworld, and defeated death! he was also known as the lord of the flies, which was a good thing, as in those days without refrigeration and animal dung everywhere flies were a problem. according to myth he would suck the flies up like a vacuum. same thing that john coffey (jc!) did in the green mile. that whole movie was based on the gospel of judas btw, which has judas being the only one who understands that jc has to die.
