a bit short actually but really difficult since the first third of the lecture was just introducing a whole chapter's worth of vocab and the next 2/3 was trying to do examples with that vocab. of course nobody could remember any of the words after only seeing them once so it was just people panicking then the professor telling them the words to apply the grammar to anyway

well yeah that's my point. if i'm taking 3 hours to learn a chapter's worth of vocab with the unnecessary kanj then we should be able to say that's the upper limit for time it should take. 3 hours max of work is a pretty reasonable amount of work to assign for this type of class
