yeah it's a really funny one, i think we've talked about it before. one of the things i think is funniest is how big a difference there are between popular posts and regular posts.
ones like this that show up on instagram are obviously people embellishing to show they're obviously not the asshole at best and completely making shit up so they can be praised for their actions in a fictional scenario at worse.
90% of the actual posts on the subreddit are people telling obviously biased but genuine accounts off very black and white situations while begging for someone to validate them. it's funny when they clearly just want a pat on the back ie "AITA for helping an old lady across the street? i don't think she could've made it on her own and she asked for help but seemed like she was a bit annoyed that i was walking too fast.." but it's WAY funnier when someone is absolutely delusional and want to be told they're not a psychopath ie "AITA for literally stealing candy from a baby? i know that in a vacuum it's pretty fucked up to do but i work hard 40 hours a week and this snot nosed brat who's maybe 3 or 4 thinks HE deserves the last lollipop? this ADHD kid is probably not even going to remember what happened tomorrow morning but i can fully appreciate the lollipop while i wind down for an evening, so i just snatched it right out of his hand and walked off."
