The context of "knowing" in the word "Gnosis" is to know one's self beyond normie mental bounds. One's wholeness. To seek the reunion of the male and female counterparts. Meaning that you are incomplete (exactly half) and cannot ascend (because unclean spirits will seduce and reduce you back into a speck, so you can fit back into a fetus).
The Pearl, which you'll see Gnostic texts also refer to as "the One Pearl" (your unique pearl) you must seek, the One Pearl in the Sea you must seek, is the ultimate objective of a soul. Notice the pearl is decidedly feminine? Gnostic texts are written in the perspective of men, as were the times.
As the soul goes back and forth from this world, it becomes perfected and ready to take on the objective of obtaining his One Pearl. In his last cycle in this world. In that life, he will be a virgin (fate will keep him a virgin, whatever this takes, be it autism + social anxiety) so that the Bridal Chamber ritual, which is kissing and having sex without procreation with the intent to become one in every way but physical, can be fulfilled.
That's the last life for the soul in this world when it's near perfect. Ordinarily, it'd make sense for me to say to you all (and myself) that you're probably not there yet and you should really just realize your inner humanist passion and manifest it instead, but one intriguing thing about the times we live in is that, unless you're already 60 years old, all signs point to the 144,000 reunion event taking place within our lifetimes. The rulers seem to be in a bit of panic and are accelerating with unhinged haste.
Now, if you're not a virgin, none of this applies to you and you are locked into the category of the Elect who will be martyred. And if that's you, I say you should just search your soul for what moves you with passion that can be used for humanity as a whole and manifest it instead.
