if ur going to get one, ideally go for a breed and for temperament. everyone says to go for rescue animals, but they're usually extremely damaged already. my last rescue cat's old owners swung him around in a plastic bag so whenever i had to replace the garbage bag it'd have a panic attack. idk
i've had ragdolls last two cats and they're beautiful. the first one followed u like a puppy. just a great pet
