Minnesota has an interesting law, like where the normal age of consent is 16 (like most of the USA) but not for authority figures over the person. So for instance if you are a 16 year old's manager at work in Minnesota, they can not consent to sex with you until 18. Pretty sure the idea of that law is while 16 may be reasonable generally, 16 or 17-year-olds may still struggle with the advances of an authority figure when they would have an easier time accepting or rejecting advances from a non-authority.
