All the clients and owners are in the office today from Mexico for some kind of round table mafia style meeting. I had to setup power for the whole room in 30 minutes, have to troubleshoot all their network connectivity problems and fix anything the suits tell me about while I’m around.
>I got a new phone and need help with MFA
>my VPN doesn’t work
>I can’t access this website
>my computer is slow
That’s not the worst part. No the worst is everything is in Spanish. The keyboards are even different and all the stuff is in the wrong place. What kind of psycho replaces the shift key with a function key? That’s just asking for problems.
Even their phones interfaces are severely different. I couldn’t understand half of what they say, can’t effectively communicate back, struggle with their Spanish interfaces and all the execs that tout my name as the best IT guy they’ve ever had are right there watching me flounder with basic things. For Christ sake I couldn’t get a phone connected to our wifi.
Everything is fixed now but now it’s crying time in the MDF. It’s cold in there and it feels nice.
