Do forgive my sparse responses. I am currently finishing up some end of the semester projects. This thread's a bit of a slow burn though, so that's okay. Don't think I've abandoned you anons, because I won't. Not until this thread dies.
>>20152279This was a nice listening session. I'll give my wanton two cents!
>Futile DevicesI really enjoyed the instrumentals of this track. It blended very well with the vocals and produced a nice, cozy track. I especially love the lyric this track ends on
>And words are futile devicesGod, that was a good line.
>Flesh CanoeThis one felt a little... I don't want to say eclectic, because there's clearly order here, but perhaps wavy? It reminds me of some Arctic Monkeys songs, like Fluorescent Adolescent.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPGdXrQID7cIt's not a 1:1 similarity, actually they're quite different, but to me the songs have very similar energy.
>The KLF Madrugada EternaThis was very ambient. This is the kind of song that I would put on to sit down and contemplate things. It had progression too; while the song had some uniformity throughout, there was still enough variation to seem like a trip, as you said. One of my favorite things in music, if done well, is the inclusion of broadcasts and PSAs such as the one at the 6 minute mark.
>Children CryingReggae, oh man! This is a genre I've not explored much. I've gotten as far as Eek-A-Mouse and that's it. I really love how jammy reggae is, there's a groove here that you just can't get in any other genre.
>The District Sleeps Alone TonightI think I'm out of juice. I can't really come up with much to say for this one. I do really like how it switches gears and becomes a lil faster in the second half though, that was a good variation. I need to listen to more synthpop honestly, I've been very into Goth rock and its derivatives lately.
