What they're doing reminds me of Rydberg atoms used for radio except using them as as a quantum inertial nav system. I've written about using Rydberg atoms to measure gravitational changes associated with electron charge replenishment cycles, a phenomenon I've speculated about.

The main problem with the system they're building is that it has to be cut off from outside influences, but it needs to be communicate with people outside of the box if it's going to tell them what their position is.

Sounds like reinventing the wheel. Did they ever unstick that ski lift? :D

According to conventional wisdom, people in the United States and elsewhere are supposed to be able to monetize their ideas. People IRL do not understand why I have trouble. I'm good looking, clearly bright, and the question I get most often in conversations that go for more than 3 minutes is, "WHY DIDN'T YOU GO TO COLLEGE?!?" and it annoys me to no end.

The movie American Pie was one reason, and a lack of money was the other.

True, and the deepfakes are something that people can make at home now. However, to be able to get the media to report a missing persons story and to be able to get away with this indicates government agency. Also, the video was fairly sophisticated, particularly the audio. The video was better than what someone could do at home, and the whole thing, rather than being based upon taking a real video and morphing someone's face to look like someone else's face frame by frame, they've created a 3D model of a totally artificial face and pasted it on a mannequin and then immersed the whole of "Daphne" in an RT environment that looks awfully real. Nonetheless, when her face changes shape from frame to frame, you know it's a a fake. The audio was inconsistent, the dog doesn't match previous photos of her dogs, etc.
