How many of you would actually sign up to using 3rd party IDs service?
Since its an old issue, long time ago I was trying to bring /gig/ into using it but not many have used it so its effectiveness was low.
I'm currently in the process of resurrecting this project and would be curious to see if you would like the idea
It works like this:
You make a post - userscript make a call to 3rd party server to register your post, only server is aware about it, no other users see your ID
Thread update - userscript request all posts that have IDs but not IDs themself
>Whats the benefit? you remain anonymous between people using this service but you see who is using it and who is not so if enough people use it there could very well be an alternative thread inside real thread ignoring whats happening outside
>What if shitposters use it?that would be even better, since there is an option to block people
