>The corps just retired their armor corpsI mean the United States Marine CORPS. If I was talking about the Army I'd say Army, if it was the squids I'd call them fags and if it was zoomies I'd call them desk donkeys.
You understand? Okay. Back to tonk tolk.
I disagree with any expansion of manned tanks overall. Humans aren't meant to be inside of things like that and if you've EVER spent ANY amount of time IN A TANK OR APC you know why. It's hot, it smells like ass and it's loud as everloving fuck. Let the squints put unmanned tanks into full swing and let infantry do the rest. The tanks we have in current production are just fine and we won't be making any major deviations soon BUT we should take that hard turn into mechanized warfare territory with unmanned tanks. Their job is simple and the way America employs tanks in urban warfare is simple. It's pretty much just clout and mobile cover for the infantry (i might be biased though). Even the simplest of boot ass marines could learn to input a path for the tank to take. With asymmetric warfare in full play the need for tank v tank concerns are unnecessary. Future wars will be fought in cities where tanks assume a support role to escort and protect instead of engaging with other tanks.
Haji can't afford tanks and the chinese won't be shipping their tanks across the globe.
The first couple of world wars and korea were definitely the golden age of tanks there's no doubt but we've moved on.
I'm sorry aussie but as based as you are tanks are going out the door in favor of drones. Tanks will be around but they will be very different and serve a different purpose since they won't contain human life anymore.
