>>20139821It seems related. In my 20s I could enter into sleep paralysis/obe/lucid dreams every time I took an afternoon nap. It often felt as though electricity was flowing through my body, followed by a humming in my ears. Right at the cusp of "sleep", I would hear a loud explosion in my head (I knew it wasn't real because I was a very light sleeper and wore earplugs to cancel noise). Once this happened, it would typically result in sleep paralysis, but occasionally I was able to break the freeze and wander around. Lucid dreams began this way too, but typically those start from within a dream. My go-to for deciding if I was in reality or a dream would be to jump as high as I could. In my dreams, I could jump and almost touch the clouds while gently gliding back to the ground. Sometimes the lucid dreams would begin to blur and I would "awake" frozen in my bed. Perhaps I'm an anomaly, but I swear I had these dreams nearly everyday when trying to sleep. 80% of the time it would be terrifying sleep paralysis; the other 20% would be obe/lucid dreams that were beautiful. I remember one particular lucid dream where I called thousands houses into existence for the mere reason of being able to hop from roof to roof while searching for my childhood dog. When you're in those states...you seem to acknowledge the infinite and understand that nothing truly every dies. It's beautiful. Or it's creepy shit like pic related.
