I live in a gated neighborhood that's been slowly succumbing to diversity. My white neighbors moved out 2 years ago and now I live next door to 2 different spanish families. Around the block near the front and back of our community a couple black families moved in likely affording rent by packing in and combining their welfare. Since then all the decent white people have been trickling out faster and faster. Since the communities foundation our home values have nearly tripled and it was a really fantastic place to live until recently. Isn't it funny that we've only ever had crime once the black families moved in? A pack of black kids were roaming near the recycling bins 3 months ago, the next day our recycling bins were so strangely found burnt from fires set in them. I've come home after long days work to see black teenagers heaving against the exit gate because they don't realize you can just walk out with a key or fob. Our gates just seems to break all the time ever since they moved in; the community had to install brand new gates last week. When I walk my dog I have to keep him on a short leash because there are chicken bones he's nearly choked on that litter the sidewalk, right in front of the dumpsters, and in the grass near the black families homes. There's been a steady string of delayed theft reports, suspicious person reports, and domestic disturbance reports. Isn't it just so coincidental that this all started happening when the black families moved in?
It's also a pure coincidence that I've been saving to buy a new house and move out likely somewhere a bit rural. I don't even care if I have to drive 30 minutes to work anymore. My dog isn't safe here.
