I got into the habit when I worked on a tugboat for a while, everyone had a sink in their room but there was only one head on the whole boat, so if someone else was in there taking a shit or a shower you had to wait. And guys would always accidentally lock the head and then you'd have to lockpick it. So I got into the habit of just pissing in the sink and left the toilet for when I needed to shit, although we also used to shit in a bucket sometimes because the septic system on the tugboat always broke and sprayed shit all over the deck that we then had to mop up and then the toilet would be broken for like a week.
