I already suspected the "poisonous" part was bunk since Panther caps are marked as poisonous-or-deadly often too but they are just like a stronger Muscaria from what I've read. The experiences people write about those are quite insane.
In all honesty, I don't have the balls to try panther caps which is a shame because they grow fucking everywhere where I live. I could gather a few kilos every season if I wanted to.
