>>10342951first thing I do in the Caribbean is take out the pirates, then bully the spanish and dutch a bit for provinces. Building tradeports in all of them plus lots of plantations gets you rolling in cash around midgame.
it's a good strategy, but I always kinda forget about India due to focusing on America so much. And by the time I remember it the Marathra have already won basically.
main reason I got it was for the fleet battles, favourite part of the game to just mess around in. And the game is pretty stable now. AI is still dumb as ever, but there's mods for that. Also me forgetting about friendly fire with cannons all the time
